La paroisse de Mariammanahalli
K. Mariammanahalli, a former sub-station of Mudgal parish, was made into an independent parish by Bishop Ambrose in January 1986. The residents of K. Mariammanahalli are all Korchar tribals, rope makers by caste and profession. They were first converted to Christianity in 1926 by the Franciscan Missionaries who worked in this region at Mudgal. The present Church was built in 1974. The Church, School and Boarding were built by Fr. Cyril Joseph. This Parish has also a community hall built by Fr. L. Arokianathan.
