Lettre de Mariammanahalli
Dear Bro. Alvaro SJ and Dear students,
At the outset I should ask pardon for the delay in writing to you. It is just above a month that you left us but our memories are very fresh. We do remember each one of you even by name. The tremendous impression and inspiration you have poured on the children, youth and adults are unforgettable. I, Fr.Francis, JMJ Sisters, Miss.Reena and all the children and people are very thankful to you for your love, service and generosity.
A Big Thanks to you and God Bless you for your generosity and goodwill.
We really fail in words to express our sentiments of love and for the valuable work and selfless service you have done to us. We will ever remain grateful to you and Inde Espoir organization for the genuine love and concern.
The inevitable delay in writing to you due to the parish feast. The parish feast was celebrated on 8th September with pomp and solemnity. There was very good gathering of people and pilgrims. The Eucharistic celebrations, listening to the Divine Word, preaching, car procession were some of the main events on 8th Sept. On 9th Sept. There was Eucharistic celebration, Sacrament of Baptism and common meal to the entire participants. There was kabbadi tournament and winners were given prizes. Photos were taken and some of them are sent to you by mail.
The boarding construction to high school students is in progress. After your leaving, the lintel and sajja have been cast. Two layers of stones above the lintel are built. Next week or within 15 days the beams and ground floor roof will be put. Some photos showing work progress are enclosed. Besides, flooring in front of the church is done. This is helpful to the children to have morning and evening studies. Photos are taken.
I had my eye operation for cataract on 20th Sept. Fr.Francis, JMJ Sisters, Miss. Reena and all the children are showering their love and wishes to one and all of you.
With lots of love and wishes. Assuring you our continual prayers.
Yours sincerely
Fr.Antony Fernandes
